Job summary

MPE Engineering Ltd. is seeking an Intermediate Civil Engineer in Ontario to contribute to design and project management within the Water Resources team. Preference given to candidates in Sudbury, with openness to applicants across Ontario.

The role requires a civil/environmental engineering degree, P.Eng. registration, and 4–8 years of related experience in design, management, construction supervision, and PM. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Registration with PEO as an Engineer (P.Eng.).
• 4–8 years of experience in design, management, construction supervision, and PM.
• Experience in hydropower, water management, flood mitigation, and related areas.
• Strong leadership, client management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering.
• Coordination, supervision, mentoring, and management of junior engineers and technologists.
• Prepare planning reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties.
• Work closely with clients to ensure project objectives are met.

• Position: INTERMEDIATE CIVIL ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY

The successful candidate will take an important role in design and project management within MPE’s Water Resources team. The position requires a broad range of skills and experience in a wide variety of water resource projects. We are open to applicants across Ontario, but preference will be given to those in Sudbury.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Civil or Environmental Engineering,
• Registration with PEO as an Engineer (P.Eng.),
• 4 to 8 years of experience in engineering, including design, management, construction supervision, and project management in the following areas of practice is desired:
  • Hydropower development, water management, water control structures, dam safety, flood mitigation, drainage, pipelines, irrigation development and river engineering.
• Self‑motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
