Purpose of the Role

The Junior Budget Project Manager supports the Client Accounting team by assisting in managing all client financials accurately and promptly.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in managing all client financials, ensuring accuracy across all disciplines.
  2. Review unbilled media reports and provide commentary to the Finance team for reporting.
  3. Ensure timely resolution of unbilled/uncleared media to mitigate financial risks.
  4. Serve as a liaison between the client’s budget management group and the client team(s) to coordinate projects.
  5. Support strong client relationships by developing reporting outputs and troubleshooting as needed.
  6. Attend internal and external meetings related to client financials and leverage project management tools such as Hive Finance Workflow.
  7. Perform all Budget Project Coordinator functions and assist where necessary.
  8. Oversee and assist in managing client workload for the BPC, and contribute to training and development.
  9. Review client financial reports for the agency (AR/AP) and ensure compliance.
  10. Assist in reviewing planned vs. ordered monthly budgets; identify and explain variances.
  11. Maintain a central filing system for client files and implement operational policies and best practices.
  12. Monitor billing practices to ensure compliance with client requirements.
  13. Ensure contractual obligations are met in delivering client services, including account mapping and maintenance.
  14. Assist with audit deliverables such as SOX, KPMG, client audits, and audit compliance.
  15. Prepare and update client budgets using TM1 and assist with year-end budget accruals.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, majoring in Accounting or Finance.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Proactive in suggesting improvements and new ideas beneficial to the agency and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills to facilitate task execution.
  • Effective communication skills tailored to various stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving abilities to analyze and resolve issues.
  • Prior client management experience.
  • Hands-on budget management experience, preferably in the media industry.
