Job summary
BBA Consultants in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, QC, Canada is seeking a Junior Automation Engineer (EIT) to join the Process Control and Operational Technologies team. You will work on automation projects, program PLC/SCADA/DCS, and support site surveys and commissioning.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or automated production engineering or any other equivalent training.
- Member of a Canadian professional engineering association.
- Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client locations or sites.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects.
- Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec.
- Asset: interest or relevant experience in automation and instrumentation; participation in detailed engineering of a project in the mining or energy sectors.
- Asset: experience in the mining sector.
- Asset: ASP Construction card.
Responsibilities
- Program automated systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, operator interfaces).
- Develop and maintain solid client relationships.
- Participate in executing detailed engineering projects.
- Draft technical documents, calculation notes and study reports.
- Participate in project management (execution, costs, schedules).
- Attend internal or client coordination meetings.
