About the role: The Junior Accountant Co-op will have opportunities to gain exposure to the full accounting cycle and assist the senior financial analyst in recording business transactions and analyzing business performance.

What will you do

• Assist with the operation of finance and accounting functions, including journal entries, trial balances, and general ledgers.
• Engage in monthly and quarterly closing processes.
• Assist with tracking banking records and reconciliations.
• Assist with reviewing third-party books.
• Track rental income and cash receipts for residential and commercial properties.
• Organize and archive supporting documents.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.

What you need to succeed

Must-haves

• 3rd or 4th year student majoring in Accounting or related fields.
• Strong communication skills.
• Advanced MS Office and excellent Excel skills.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment and work efficiently.
