A growing public practice firm with an excellent reputation in Vancouver is currently looking for a Junior Staff Accountant.

The Positions:

We are looking for a Junior Accountant with some experience preparing NTR engagements and someone who has basic bookkeeping knowledge. This is a great opportunity to gain qualified work experience.

The Key accountabilities for this role include (frequency depending on experience):

-Bookkeeping year end and monthly client files
-Working on client engagements that include NTR’s, Personal Taxes, Corporate Taxes, T3/T4/T5 returns
-Other duties as assigned

The following would be considered requirements:

-The ideal candidate will be enrolled in the CPA program or a legacy CGA/CASB student who has been working towards a designation
-Strong work ethic
-Attention to detail
-Positive attitude
-Hardworking
-Organized and willing to help with a variety of difference tasks
-Ability to follow directions and ask questions if needed
-Strong base knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically excel
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Excellent communication skills both written and oral
-Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
-Ability to keep track of files that have been allocated
-Ability to complete files after the client has responded to outstanding questions
-Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing demands and priorities

The following would be considered assets:
-Bookkeeping experience
-Experience working on client engagements that include NTR’s, Personal Taxes, Corporate Taxes (needed for the experienced staff position)
-Experience with: Caseware, Caseview, Profile, Simply Accounting, and Quickbooks an assets

Compensation:

This role will be compensated with a base salary and benefits package, which is commensurate with experience. Please include salary expectations.
