Position Overview:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily accounting tasks including AP/AR, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Monitor and reconcile company transactions and accounts
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist with expense tracking and employee reimbursements
• Maintain compliance with accounting policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Experience with a cloud-based accounting software (QuickBooks Online is an asset)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Canadian accounting and tax regulations
