Job summary

BMW Toronto is seeking a junior accountant for our downtown Toronto office. This entry-level role supports the accounting team and is onsite full-time five days a week.

The position offers compensation between 42,000 and 46,000 CAD annually, with benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, and profit sharing, along with a great working environment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education with focus on accounting.
• 0-1 years of relevant accounting experience.
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily bank deposits and credit card payment reconciliations.
• Accounts receivable reconciliations of customer and departmental cash clearing accounts
• Accounts payable including coding invoices, posting and issuing payments in a timely manner.
• Monitor floor-plan accounts to ensure payments are submitted within guidelines.
• Review vehicle purchases and Inventory schedule maintenance
• Administrative filing
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing
• Other accounting duties as required by management
