Job summary

Downtown AutoGroup is hiring an Accounting Clerk to manage financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency. You will process receivables and payables and maintain records for audit purposes at our Downtown Toronto Autoplex.

The role requires attention to detail, numeracy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment within the automotive sector. This in-person position offers opportunities for growth and professional development within the DAG Academy.

Qualifications

  • Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software (CDK Global, Reynolds & Reynolds) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with standard accounting practices, the automotive industry.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in work.
  • Analytical Thinking: Capable of identifying trends, discrepancies, and providing solutions.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
  • Team Player: Positive attitude, willingness to collaborate, and assist colleagues when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer payments accurately and promptly.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
  • Accounts Receivable (AR):
    • Process customer payments accurately and promptly.
