Job summary

Our client, a tile importer, seeks a Junior Accountant to join their team in Toronto. You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and month-end close support, while ensuring compliance with HST and related filings.

The role requires 1+ year of accounting experience, a degree or diploma in accounting/business, and strong attention to detail. Dynamics 365 BC is a plus; Toronto residents only, with eligibility to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in accounting/business or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accrual bookkeeping and GL/intercompany reconciliations.
• Confidence with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong asset.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

• Month-end & year-end: support close processes, reconcile accounts, and prepare accurate reports
• Compliance: stay on top of HST, and other filings

• Payroll & reporting: Process payroll and payroll-related compliance
• Process improvement: Spot opportunities to make our systems and processes more efficient

About You

Pay Rate

$27 - $29 / hr

This position for employment is for a current vacancy with Vaco/Highspring’s client.

You must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this opportunity.
