Reporting to the Controller, the Junior Accountant performs a variety of tasks in a professional and efficient manner. The position manages the daily and month end accounting functions related to inventory, capital assets, financing and other balance sheet and income statement accounts.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Review inventory sale transactions for accuracy.
  • Manage financing of all inventory and rental assets.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile capital assets and rental fleets.
  • Prepare salesman commission calculations.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts at month end.
  • Assist branch personnel with inquiries and requests.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Training, Education and Experience:
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Desire to enroll in CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) is considered an asset.
  • Degree or diploma in Accounting or Business discipline.

Compensation Package:

  • Salary between $40,000 - $50,000depending on skillsand qualifications.

Working Conditions: The Junior Accountant is based out of the Surrey office and works 40 hours on average per week Monday to Friday.
