JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT (BILINGUAL)

Our Montreal based client is seeking a Junior Accountant to support Senior Accountants with day-to-day accounting activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Perform re-class between prepaid expenses and expenses
• Perform reconciliations of various accounts
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements
• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor in accounting, finance or relevant field
• Experience in a large manufacturing environment, or in a major CPA firm
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• FLUENT IN FRENCH AND ENGLISH (verbal and written)

Can be full time permanent OR contract and then flip to permanent

Salary: $62,000 to $65,000 base/year

Hybrid work model: 3 days/week in office (MANDATORY)
