• Compensation: $62,000–$66,000 annually (unionized role)
• Please note, this role will be Hybrid at the client’s Montreal, QC office (3 times a week Mon, Tue, Thurs)
• Permanent or contract-to-perm opportunity

Responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries to ensure accurate transaction recording
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Reconcile and update accounts payable
• Perform reclassifications between prepaid expenses and regular expenses
• Reconcile various accounts and maintain sub-ledgers
• Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements
• Review expenses, payroll records, and assist with audits
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial databases
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial reports
• Support monthly and year-end closings
• Contribute to various accounting projects as needed

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a large manufacturing environment or a major CPA firm
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Fluent in French and English (verbal and written)
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices
• Proficient in MS Office and relevant accounting software

Responsabilités

• Comptabiliser et enregistrer les écritures de journal pour garantir l’exactitude des transactions
• Mettre à jour les comptes clients et émettre les factures
• Réconcilier et mettre à jour les comptes fournisseurs
• Effectuer les reclassements entre les charges payées d’avance et les charges courantes
• Réconcilier divers comptes et maintenir les sous-registres
• Aider à la préparation des bilans, des états des résultats et autres états financiers
• Examiner les dépenses, les dossiers de paie et aider lors des audits
• Maintenir des bases de données financières précises et à jour
• Préparer et soumettre des rapports financiers hebdomadaires/mensuels
• Soutenir les clôtures mensuelles et de fin d’année
• Contribuer à divers projets comptables selon les besoins

Qualifications

• 0 à 2 ans d’expérience en comptabilité, idéalement dans un grand environnement manufacturier ou un cabinet de CPA de renom
• Baccalauréat en comptabilité, finance ou domaine connexe
• Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais (oral et écrit)
• Solides compétences organisationnelles et grande attention aux détails
• Excellentes aptitudes numériques et analytiques
• Bonne connaissance des principes comptables et des pratiques de reporting financier
