Responsibilities

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Finance Department of Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS) is a global organization with a local presence. Our core mission in the Americas involves delivering accurate financial reports, supporting Business Units, Service Units, and General Management with financial and strategic guidance, scrutinizing business plans, and advising on the efficient use of capital, liquidity, and funding resources. The department performs independent certification of financial aggregates and creates daily P&L explanations on market activities. Additionally, our teams oversee cross-business projects in financial and regulatory areas, providing expertise on accounting, prudential, and tax norms while ensuring compliance.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

Join the Accounting and Regulatory Reporting team—where precision meets impact. If you are detail-oriented, adaptable, and willing to take ownership of key financial processes, this role is for you. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the preparation of head office reporting packages
  • Overseeing the general ledger: reviewing suspense/wash accounts, detecting variances, and managing reclasses
  • Running subledger P&L rollovers and year-end ANS processes for hedging accounts
  • Partnering with P2P and PFS teams on monthly accruals
  • Preparing manual adjustments for month-end closes and ownership equity pickups
  • Clearing stale balances and intercompany breaks
  • Contributing to financial statement preparations, including footnotes, for mid-year and year-end reports
  • Liaising with auditors and ensuring documentation and timely resolution of audit findings
  • Preparing and submitting monthly U.S. GAAP regulatory filings (FOCUS Report), including mappings, analytics, and uploads
  • Supporting FR Y-15 reporting, variance analysis, and memo documentation
  • Reconciler role in balance account certification
  • Assisting with IFRS analytics and ECB reporting requirements
  • Monitoring daily FX exposures and large balance sheet variances
  • Producing daily RFI reports and responding to front office inquiries
  • Maintaining legal entity books and records across entities
  • Preparing intercompany wires and reconciling service fee data using Power BI
  • Driving process improvements and automation initiatives

Profile required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in accounting and general ledger oversight
  • Strong understanding of financial close processes
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to follow procedures while identifying improvements
  • Knowledge of Investment Banking products
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels
  • Experience working with auditors and handling documentation
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI and automation is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive attitude and ownership mindset
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and deadlines

Technical Skills:

  • Strong Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets
  • Automation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Desired / Plus:

  • Experience with US Broker dealer accounting
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Willingness to learn Alteryx and other BI tools

Language:

Ability to communicate fluently in English, both orally and in writing, is required for collaboration with U.S. colleagues and partners.
