Job summary

Dumas is seeking a Jumbo Operator to advance underground development at Lalor, Snow Lake Manitoba. You will operate jumbo drills for development headings, perform pre-operational checks, and install ground support as required.

This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work in confined underground conditions. The position offers 14/14 rotations with 11.5-hour shifts and provides travel, accommodations, and meals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating jumbo drills in an underground mining environment.
• Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification.
• Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.
• Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments.
• Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate jumbo drills to perform accurate drilling for development headings according to line and grade specifications.
• Install ground support as required, including bolts and mesh.
• Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment, reporting all issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.
• Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership
