Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking an AP Accountant to support the Vaughan, Canada operations. The role focuses on processing invoices, managing vendor inquiries, and preparing journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables). The position offers hourly pay with discretionary bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

About the Opportunity

• Process and enter invoices, including PO and non-PO invoices, and resolve any discrepancies.
• Process vendor payments and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Review and investigate inventory variances.
• Reconcile accrued purchase liabilities and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage vendor onboarding, including account setup, payment terms, payment methods, and tax registration where applicable.
• Maintain complete and accurate supporting documentation for all AP and accounting activities.
• Review and audit employee expense reimbursement claims for business purpose, proper expense classification, and applicable input tax.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Reconcile various accounts, including intercompany, clearing, prepaid, and corporate credit card accounts.
• Collect, analyze, and report financial data as required.
• Prepare monthly KPI, critical financial, and quarterly statistical reports.
• Review sales tax and input tax credit calculations for accuracy.
• Identify and recommend process improvements and participate in their implementation.
• Manage incoming and outgoing accounting-related mail.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

About You

• 2+ years of relevant juinor accounting experience
• Intermediate excel (vlookups, pivot tables)

Pay Range

$25 - $29 / hour

You must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this opportunity.
