Job summary

Strike Group in Fort Saskatchewan is seeking a Journeyperson Pipefitter to layout, assemble, install and maintain piping systems, supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for industrial facilities. Based out of Western Canada, you will travel to project sites, adhere to Strike's safety culture, hold a valid Journeyperson certificate, and obtain H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 or PST tickets.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Journeyperson certificate from the appropriate provincial or federal authority.
• Must have or be willing to obtain valid H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 or PST tickets - CSTS 09 and CSO/BSO will not be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s, etc.)
• Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages
• Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging
• Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility
• Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape
• Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
• Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems
• Based out of Fort Saskatchewan; travel for projects as required

Journeyperson Pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.

Journeyperson Pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.
