Job summary

Strike Group is seeking an Apprentice Pipefitter based in Fort Saskatchewan, AB to lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems on oil and industrial projects. This role supports a culture of safety and aligns with Strike’s Code of Conduct and values.

You must be a registered 3rd or 4th year Apprentice, possess H2S Alive and CSTS 2020, and be willing to obtain CSTS 2020/CSO if required; pre-employment drug testing is mandatory, and lifting 50 pounds while working outdoors is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered 3rd or 4th year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority.
• Must pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s, etc.).
• Assist journeyperson pipefitters with the installation of equipment, pipe, and structural steel on site.
• Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages.
• Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging.
• Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility.
• Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape.
• Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
• Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems.

Apprentice Pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. PROJECT DETAILS

• Based out of Fort Saskatchewan, AB
• Travel for projects as required
