Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a skilled maintenance technician/mechanic in Calgary, Alberta. The role focuses on lubrication, breakdown maintenance, and scheduled repairs of mixer trucks and related equipment to ensure peak performance.

The candidate must hold a provincial or Red Seal Journeyman certification; CVIP license is an asset. Proficiency with transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, and DOT maintenance programs is expected.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid provincial or Red Seal Journeyman certification; CVIP license is considered an asset
• Demonstrates technical proficiency with transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, and other components on mixer trucks
• Understands DOT inspection requirements and adheres to formal maintenance programs
• Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks including lifting, kneeling, working at heights and in confined spaces
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools for documentation and diagnostics

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
