Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Red Seal certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician in Coquitlam, BC. Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty equipment safely and efficiently; perform preventative maintenance to maximize reliability and uptime; troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

You will document work, communicate equipment status to operations teams, and support continuous improvement in maintenance and safety.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyperson certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty mobile and stationary equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and uptime
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Document work completed and communicate equipment status clearly with operations teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance and safety

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
