Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Canada Limited is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to lubricate, diagnose, and repair mixer trucks and related equipment. You will inspect machinery, ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards, and test performance after service.

The role requires a Red Seal/Journeyman certification and comfort with physically demanding tasks in a unionized environment. Overtime and benefits are available.

Qualifications

  • Holds a valid provincial or Red Seal Journeyman certification; CVIP license is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrates technical proficiency with transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, and other mixer truck components.
  • Understands DOT inspection requirements and adheres to formal maintenance programs.
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks including lifting, kneeling, working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools for documentation and diagnostics.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lubricate and perform breakdown maintenance and scheduled repairs of mixer trucks and other equipment as required to achieve optimum performance.
  • Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose problems.
  • Ensure that all equipment repairs are performed accurately to the manufacturer standards.
  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with specifications.
  • Perform other miscellaneous mechanical and maintenance duties as assigned.
What Are We Looking For
  • Holds a valid provincial or Red Seal Journeyman certification; CVIP license is considered an asset.

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment.

Work Environment

Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
