Finning Canada in Kamloops, BC is seeking a Journeyperson Helper to support our team. The role involves assisting Journeyperson Mechanics, cleaning shop and yard areas, fueling machines, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

The position is based in Kamloops on a 7x7 rotation with a dayshift schedule. This permanent, full-time role offers CAT training opportunities and comprehensive benefits for growth and development.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with ability to follow directions and work in a team.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Past experience in a maintenance shop environment; forklift certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• General clean up of shop, yard and machines.
• Assist Journeyperson Mechanics as required.
• Aid mechanics with removal/installation of guards and steaming.
• Fuel machines.
• Perform minor machine service (oil changes).
• Attachment maintenance and general service shop duties.

Job Description

• General clean up of shop, yard and machines

Skills and Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined, self-starter ability to follow directions, work well within a team environment and contribute positively to a team environment
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work successfully under minimal supervision
• Past experience in a maintenance shop environment, mechanical experience, and forklift certification would be considered assets

Important Information

This position is based in Kamloops, BC on a 7x7 rotation. (Dayshift)

Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement
