Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking a Permanent Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Kamloops to troubleshoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in a shop setting. You will interface with customers, support teams and sales, diagnosing faults and determining repair scope while upholding safety and service commitments.

The role requires a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification (Red Seal preferred) and a clean drivers’ abstract.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification; Red Seal preferred.
• Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr).
• Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems.
• Experience with construction, forestry and mining equipment is an asset.
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be beneficial.
• Gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in a shop environment.
• Interface with customers, products and sales support.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using testing equipment to determine repair scope.
• Respond to customer needs in a positive, timely manner to ensure value for work performed.
• Provide support with reference to on-site safety requirements.

Job Description
