Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking Journeyperson Electricians (Red Seal preferred) to join our team in Surrey, BC. You will troubleshoot, maintain and repair heavy electrical and power generation equipment including gen-sets, PLCs, HMIs and switchgear.

Ideal candidates are customer-focused, hard-working and ready for growth in a leading CAT dealer network. The position includes a 5x2 shift, union environment, and comprehensive benefits and pension plans.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred).
• FSRA or FSRB credential would be considered an asset.
• Power Generation experience would be considered an asset.
• Generator Rebuild experience would be considered an asset.
• Heavy Duty Mechanical experience or certification would be considered an asset.
• Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and power generation equipment.
• Service and troubleshoot electronic controls, PLCs, HMIs, and electrical switchgear.
• Build, construct and test electrical panels.
• Load test power generation equipment.
• Assist in fulfilling our customer service commitment.

Notes:

• Homebase for this position will be Surrey Power Systems, but you may be required to travel to locations throughout British Columbia and Yukon
• This will be a 5x2 shift
• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
• Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
• Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
