Job Summary

We are currently seeking a highly energetic and organized Journeyperson Electrician for a full-time position based in Dartmouth, NS.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
• Lead teams on site to achieve company objectives.
• Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors.
• Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
• Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
• Splice, join, and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
• Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure system safety and compatibility.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems, replacing faulty components.
• Connect electrical power to communication devices, signaling devices, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and keep maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Valid Red Seal Electrical License.
• Ability to obtain and pass security clearances.
• Experience with control systems is an asset.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Ability to read and draw electrical schematics.
• Excellent command of English, both written and oral.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Strong work ethic and communication skills.
• Driver’s license with a clean abstract.
