Job summary

SITE Resource Group Limited Partnership in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Journeyperson / Apprentice Pipefitter to install, maintain and repair piping systems on construction projects, ensuring safe operations and reliable performance.

You will read drawings, fabricate and fit piping components, participate in hydrotest processes, and uphold high standards of safety and quality. Eligible Canadians with relevant certification or apprenticeship are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification or Apprentice AIT recognized.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record and ability to travel if required.
  • Fit-for-duty and eligible to work in Canada immediately.
  • Clear English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals or fuel.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble and install tubing, valves and fittings.
  • Hydrotest and install pipe spools within modular assemblies with proper supports.
  • Maintain tools, work area and equipment in clean, orderly condition.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Job Overview

We are recruiting Journeyperson / Apprentice - Pipefitters to join our team. The job purpose of a Journeyman / Apprentice Pipefitter is to use their specialized skills and knowledge to install, maintain, and repair piping systems in a safe and efficient manner, contributing to the success of construction projects. They play a critical role in ensuring that these systems operate effectively and reliably.

Responsibilities
  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble and install metal tubing, pipes, pipe sections, valves, and fittings.
  • Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
  • Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Read and interpret client and company-supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
Requirements
  • Journeyperson Pipefitter Certification / Apprentice AIT#
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Must be fit-for-duty.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test including cannabis
