Job summary

Ainsworth (a GDI company) is seeking Journeyman Plumbers for project, installation and commercial mechanical work in Calgary. You will work in a team and independently to deliver service and installation tasks on site, with emphasis on quality and safety.

The successful candidate will hold Red Seal Journeyman certification, read blueprints, and install piping including natural gas, while adhering to local codes and customer requirements. Alberta drivers license is required.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman certification and knowledge of local codes.
• Valid Alberta Driver's Licence.
• Strong math and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service work with minimal supervision.
• Read blueprints and lay out plumbing fixtures and piping.
• Install and maintain domestic hot and cold-water systems.
• Install commercial and residential plumbing fixtures and equipment.
• Install natural gas distribution piping per code.
• Uphold safe work practices and deliver high customer service.

Job Summary

Journeyman Plumber(s) required immediately for project, installation and commercial mechanical work.

Key Responsibilities

• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have a great ability to carry out lots of service work in a professional and respectful manner.
• Read blueprints, determine layouts of plumbing fixtures, water supplies, vent and drainage systems, repair and maintain domestic hot and cold-water systems, install commercial & residential plumbing fixtures.
• Installation of various types of mechanical equipment and associated piping.
• Install NG (natural gas) distribution piping and size as per code.
• Safe work practices, provide a high level of customer service.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman Certified.
• Understanding of Mechanical Installation and local codes.
• Valid Alberta Drivers License.
• Excellent Math and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift heavy materials, tools and equipment when required.
