Responsibilities:

• Providing Electrical Service support to external & internal clients.
• Executing small electrical projects.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new and existing installations.
• Cutting, bending, threading, and installing conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings.
• Pulling wire through conduits and ceiling spaces.
• Splicing, joining, and connecting wires to components to form complete control systems.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
• Performing tasks with minimal supervision and in accordance with Ainsworth Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Executing all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, complying with all applicable health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
• Some after-hours and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Electrician with commercial experience.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology.
• Experience with motor controls is an asset.
• Experience with fire alarms is an asset.
• Ability to read and draw simple electrical sketches and schematics.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to execute precision work.
• Experience with commercial/construction installations.
• Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract, as a service vehicle is provided.
