Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Provide electrical service support to external and internal clients.
2. Execute small electrical projects.
3. Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new and existing installations.
4. Cut, bend, thread, and install conduits and other electrical enclosures and fittings.
5. Pull wire through conduits and ceiling spaces.
6. Splice, join, and connect wires to components to form complete control systems.
7. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
8. Perform tasks with minimal supervision, following Ainsworth health and safety policies and procedures.
9. Ensure all job functions are performed safely and in accordance with health, safety, environmental policies, and regulations.
10. Some after-hours and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications:

1. Journeyman Electrician with commercial experience.
2. Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology.
3. Experience with motor controls is an asset.
4. Experience with fire alarms is an asset.
5. Ability to read and draw simple electrical sketches and schematics.
6. Excellent command of English, both written and oral.
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to execute precise work.
8. Experience with commercial and construction installations.
9. Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract, as a service vehicle is provided.
