Job summary

Carmichael Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Journeyman Plumber in Calgary, AB. We welcome 3rd-year apprentices or higher for consideration.

The role involves installing and maintaining plumbing systems across residential and commercial sites, with on-call rotation and a strong emphasis on safety. Applicants should have a Journeyman Plumbing certification (3rd year or higher) and be able to work in tight spaces. A clean driving record is required; boiler experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install piping, fittings, tanks and valves in water and hot water systems.
• Maintain and repair plumbing, heating, ventilation, gas, fire protection, and site drainage.
• Work with on-call rotation as the on-call technician.

Local 488 Union rates

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to Perform skilled plumbing tasks in installing piping, fitting, tanks and valves in water systems and hot water systems, including mains and branches; and maintains and repairs plumbing, heating, ventilation, gas, fire protection, and site drainage.


• Comprehension of plumbing system fundamentals, and design


• Maintain a clean, organized van


• Be available as the on-call technician one week on a regular rotation
