Job summary

Carmichael Engineering seeks an HVAC Mechanic/Journeyman for our Ottawa location. You will install, maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine inspections while ensuring safety and compliance with company standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Journeyman HVAC/Refrigeration certificate, with gas/oil/burners experience and BAS/Controls familiarity preferred. A valid driver's license and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certification in HVAC/Refrigeration required or journeyman status in-progress.
• Gas/oil/burners experience an asset and BAS/Controls familiarity encouraged.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Job Title: HVAC Mechanic/Journeyman

Work Location: 2320 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa, ON K1G 6C4

Work Schedule: Full time and permanent position, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Requirements:

• Journeyman certification in HVAC/Refrigeration.
• Qualification and experience on gas / oil / burners an asset
• BAS/Controls experience an asset
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
