Trican Well Service Ltd. in Red Deer, AB seeks a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to support field operations, servicing and maintaining heavy equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance. This role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork.

The successful candidate will inspect, diagnose and repair vehicles and machinery, operate hoists, and mentor apprentices while upholding industry standards. A valid Journeyman certification and a strong safety mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification required.
• CVIP is considered an asset.
• Valid Class 1 license preferred; will consider Class 3 or 5.
• Physically fit with ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that Trican’s core value, safe equipment and operations, is the priority in all activities.
• Operate a hoist and lift device to position machinery safely.
• Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment.
• Service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and perform other routine maintenance work.
• Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced operators or apprentice maintenance personnel.
• Operate a service truck to support field operations.

The Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for themechanical workings of all vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Ensurethat Trican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priorityin all activities

Experience &Skills:

• JourneymanHeavy Duty Mechanic (or) JourneymanMillwright certification is required
