Job summary

BFG Enterprise Services is seeking an electrical technician to lay out, assemble, install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures and control devices at client sites. You will read drawings, determine layouts, install and maintain equipment, and ensure code compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in a retail environment, 309A Certification with own tools and PPE, a valid Class G license, personal vehicle access, and willingness to work at heights as well as nights with a shift

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience working in a retail environment.
• Possess 309A Certification and own tools and personal safety equipment.
• Valid Class G driver's licence and a clean driver's abstract on hire.
• Must have access to a personal vehicle for travel to job sites.
• Willing to work at heights and in night shifts with premium.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specs for wiring layouts.
• Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures to form circuits; install brackets and hangers.
• Assemble, install, test and maintain wiring, equipment and fixtures with hand and power tools.
• Inspect systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance with code.
• Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and correct problems.
• Connect power to AV equipment and heating/cooling systems; wire to breakers/transformers.
• Work safely and maintain an organized work area; observe safety policies.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve project/site objectives; maintain professionalism.
• Emergency standby generator experience is an asset.
• Responsible for materials, tools, and appropriate paperwork.
