Job summary

Flyer Electric is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians for the Coteau Creek Hydro Station project. Wages start at $47/hour with a 10 days on / 4 days off shift (10-hour days). Accommodations are not provided.

LOA and transportation from Saskatoon are provided, along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for training and advancement within diverse sectors such as industrial and utilities systems.

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Certificate required.
• Saskatchewan Electrical License required.
• Current Fall Protection and EWP certificates required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, climb, squat and kneel regularly.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain good relations with site personnel and customers.
• Comply with company Health and Safety manual and policies.
• Oversee field activities to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.
• Supervise and train apprentices in electrical installations and tools.
• Attend site meetings and complete required safety documentation.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for experienced Journeyman Electricians to join our team on our Coteau Creek Hydro Station project.

Wage: $47/hour

Shift: 10 days on, 4 days off (10-hour days)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and maintain good relations with site personnel and customers
• Comply with Company’s corporate Health and Safety manual
• Adhere to both Flyer Electric and customer policies and procedures
• Ensure project safety, profitability, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the efficient use of materials and equipment, and for overseeing the performance of all field-related activities for each task/project.
• Ensure field work is executed in compliance with project plans including specifications, project schedule, budget, quality, safety, and customer requirements
• Complete and maintain appropriate documentation including all required safety documentation and daily progress reports (LEM’s)
• Attend daily and weekly site meetings, as well as all mandatory training
• Maintain a professional image and demonstrate positive attitude, teamwork, and workmanship
• Provide safe and effective supervision and guidance to personnel when needed
• Guide and train apprentices in the proper use of tools, materials, and techniques for most efficient electrical installations
• Lead others by example
• Perform any other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Certificate
• Saskatchewan Electrical License
• Current Fall Pro and EWP Certificates
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel regularly
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Clear & maintain a clean driving abstract and drug/alcohol clearance.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
