Job summary

Flyer Electric is seeking a 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Electrician for our Mosaic Potash Belle Plaine location. Wage ranges from $30.55/hr to $37.60/hr depending on year, with a 10 days on / 4 days off shift (10-hour days). This position ends mid-late November and accommodations are not provided.

Qualifications

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Able to lift and move heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain good relations with site personnel and customers.
• Comply with Company’s Health and Safety manual and site procedures.
• Supervise apprentices and provide guidance on tools and techniques.
• Ensure safety, schedule adherence and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain documentation including safety reports and daily progress.
• Attend site meetings and training as required.
• Support diverse electrical installations across industrial sectors.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice Electrician to join our team on our Mosaic Potash Belle Plaine Location

Wage: $30.55/hr - $32.90/hr depending on hours for 3rd year and $37.60/hr for 4th year

Shift: 10 days on, 4 days off (10-hour days) (subject to change based on needs)

Term: Position will end mid-late November

Note: This is not a camp position. Accommodations are not provided. Need to get to site on own accord.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and maintain good relations with site personnel and customers
• Comply with Company’s corporate Health and Safety manual
• Adhere to both Flyer Electric and customer policies and procedures
• Ensure project safety, profitability, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the efficient use of materials and equipment, and for overseeing the performance of all field-related activities for each task/project.
• Ensure field work is executed in compliance with project plans including specifications, project schedule, budget, quality, safety, and customer requirements
• Complete and maintain appropriate documentation including all required safety documentation and daily progress reports (LEM’s)
• Attend daily and weekly site meetings, as well as all mandatory training
• Maintain a professional image and demonstrate positive attitude, teamwork, and workmanship
• Provide safe and effective supervision and guidance to personnel when needed
• Guide and train apprentices in the proper use of tools, materials, and techniques for most efficient electrical installations
• Lead others by example
• Perform any other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Current Apprenticeship Certificates
• Current Fall Pro and EWP Certificates
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel regularly
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Clear & maintain a clean driving abstract and drug/alcohol clearance.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
