Job summary

PTW Energy Services is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to support electrical installations on industrial projects near Anzac, AB. You will interpret blueprints, ensure compliance with code and safety standards, and perform inspections and maintenance on site.

Qualifications

  • Possess valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate; Red Seal preferred.
  • Must be experienced in industrial construction electrical work.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficient with electrical testing equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical systems, equipment, and components on industrial sites.
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to complete work.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Test systems using appropriate tools and report results.
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors on site.
  • Complete documentation and work orders as required.
  • Maintain tools and a safe work environment.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Wage$ 45- $ 50
  • Camp provided
  • Travel to site from Calgary or Nisku
  • 8-hour travel allowance will be paid per shift
  • Shift: 10 days on, 4 days off
  • Hours: 12 per day, 8 Regular, 4 Overtime
  • Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team working on our various construction sites near Anzac, AB. You will install electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
  • Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred)
  • Minimum of 2years of experience in industrial construction electrical work
  • Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
  • Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions
