Job summary

PTW Energy Services is seeking an Electrical Foreman to join our Hamilton project teams. You will lead electrical crews on industrial construction sites, plan daily activities, and ensure installations meet drawings and safety standards.

The role requires a Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal preferred) with at least seven years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code. Driver's license and flexibility for shifts are essential.

Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal preferred) required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial construction electrical work.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead electrical crews, including Foremen, Lead Hands, and field employees.
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule daily work activities to meet project timelines.
  • Oversee electrical installation, maintenance, repairs, and modifications per drawings and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and codes.
  • Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, subcontractors, and resources to complete work efficiently.
  • Provide coaching and safety training to team members and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Perform quality checks and ensure work meets project standards.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Supervisors, and other departments to resolve issues and improve productivity.

Role Summary:

We are seeking an ElectricalForeman to join our team on various construction projects. You will install electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead electrical crews, including Foremen, Lead Hands, and field employees.
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule daily work activities to meet project timelines and requirements.
  • Oversee electrical installation, maintenance, repairs, and modifications in accordance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and applicable codes.
  • Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, subcontractors, and resources required to complete work efficiently.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance support to team members while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Perform quality checks, address deficiencies, and ensure work is completed to project standards.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, and other departments to resolve issues and improve productivity.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred)
  • Minimum of 7years of experience in industrial construction electrical work
  • H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), CSTS 2020, WHMIS, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Training, High Voltage & Low Voltage Safety Training, Confined Space Entry, Aerial Work Platform Certification, Arc Flash Training, PLC/Industrial Controls Training.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
  • Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to plan work, coordinate materials, and complete projects safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with maintenance, production, engineering, and field teams while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from $48-55, commensurate with experience and certification
  • Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
