Job summary

Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. is seeking Construction Millwright Journeypersons for field maintenance, repairs and equipment readiness on industrial construction projects in Canada. Responsibilities include alignment, testing, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.

Fluent English required; ability to work independently and in a team. Camp accommodations and transportation allowances are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.
• Experience as a Millwright in an industrial construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate rig equipment and dollies to move heavy machinery and parts.
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts.
• Align and test equipment and adjust.
• Perform preventive and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and programmable logic controls.
• Tack welding and fabrication and maintain inventory of replacement parts.
• Field work with thorough documentation of work.
• Mentor apprentices and oversee safety.
