Abbotsford School District is seeking a Journeyman Carpenter for a 12-month, temporary role based in the Facilities building. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with duties including constructing, repairing and upgrading district facilities.
The ideal candidate holds an Interprovincial Trades Qualification in Carpentry and a Grade 12 diploma, plus 5 years of related experience and a valid Class 5 BC license. Proficiency with MS Office and strong communication skills are required.

This unionized position is a 12-month, temporary position based out of our Facilities building at 31759 King Road. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Under the general direction of the Foreman—Carpenter , the Trades—Journeyman Carpenter is responsible for functions involving constructing, erecting, installing and repairing structures of wood, plywood, wallboard, and associated building materials in district facilities.
This position performs a variety of technical/manual tasks under limited supervision and in accordance with clearly established policies, procedures, regulations and codes. Judgment is exercised in handling new assignments and determining new work methods.
Grade 12 diploma , or equivalent, supplemented by a current Interprovincial Trades Qualification in Carpentry. A minimum of 5 years’ recent related work experience . A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s license. As well, incumbents also require the following:
