The Abbotsford School District is seeking a Journeyman Painter for a 12-month, unionized position at the Facilities building, 31759 King Road. Hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with participation in extended health and pension plans.
Under the Foreman—Painter, you will handle interior and exterior painting, perform site prep, diagnose issues, and prepare job estimates. You’ll work with a team to maintain district facilities safely and efficiently.

This unionized position is a 12-month, continuing position based out of our Facilities building at 31759 King Road. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This position is eligible to participate in the Extended Health & Dental Plan, as well as pension contributions to the Municipal Pension Plan.
Under the direction of the Foreman—Painter, the Trades—Journeyman Painter is responsible for functions involving the preparation and painting of the interior and exterior of District facilities.
The work involves the performance of a variety of technical tasks under limited supervision and in accordance with clearly established policies, procedures, regulations and codes. Judgment is exercised in handling new assignments and determining new work methods.
Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent, supplemented by a current British Columbia or Interprovincial Trades Qualification in Painting. A minimum of 3 years of recent trades related experience. A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License. As well, incumbents also require the following:
