Job summary

Golderado Contracting Corp in Fort Saskatchewan, AB, is seeking a Journeyman Carpenter to join our site teams. The ideal candidate can read and understand drawings and specs, perform carpentry tasks safely, lift up to 50 lbs, and work at heights in varying weather.

Requirements include a Journeyman Carpentry ticket, 3–5 years of experience, strong math for precise measurements, ability to use hand and power tools, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015, and a reliable transport.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Carpentry ticket is required.
  • 3-5 years of carpentry or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong math skills for precise measuring and calculations.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
  • Good physical strength and stamina to lift heavy items and stand for long hours.
  • CSTS 2020, and WHMIS 2015 are required.
  • Fall Protection & Rescue, Aerial Platform, Confined Spaces, Rigging/Hoisting and Hand Signals, and First Aid/CPR certification would be an asset.
  • A reliable means of transportation is required.
  • Proficient English language skills required.

Key Information:
  • Hours: Project dependent; minimum 40 hours per week, with overtime necessary during the busy season (April-October)
  • Hourly rate is dependent on experience.
