Job summary

Golderado is seeking a Skilled Construction Labourer to join our teams on diverse projects across municipal and civil infrastructure. You will handle materials, perform carpentry and concrete work, and help prepare and clean up sites while maintaining safety and teamwork on site.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of residential, industrial or civil construction experience required.
• CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance 202 are required.

Responsibilities

• Handle and distribute construction materials, load/unload supplies and move tools on site.
• Work on buildings, sewers, roads, dams, bridges, tunnels, railways and canals.
• Perform carpentry and concrete work.
• Remove rubble and debris and prepare sites for work.
• Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks and barricades.
• Prepare and clean up sites, move materials and equipment, and perform demolition and excavation tasks.

Job Description:

• Handle and distribute construction materials (e.g. load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction materials; move tools, equipment and construction materials to and from work areas.
• Work on a wide variety of buildings, structures and premises including municipal sewer and water mains, roads, dams and bridges, tunnels, railways and canals.
• Carpentry and concrete work.
• Remove rubble and other debris.
• Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades at construction sites.
• Prepare and clean up construction sites, move materials and equipment, and perform demolition, excavation and compaction activities.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years of residential, industrial or civil construction or equivalent experience required.
• Carpentry, concrete and residential building experience is preferred.
• CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance 201 are required.
• You have experience in using compactors, and trampers. (jumping jack)
• You are able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) 9-23 Kg.
• You have a safety conscious attitude and able to work with others in a team.
• A reliable means of transportation is required.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Education:

Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
