Job summary

Golderado Contracting Corporation is seeking Construction Labourers to perform on-site, physical work and support equipment operators and crews on civil projects across Canada.

Applicants should have 1–2 years in construction, CSTS/WHMIS/Ground Disturbance 2010 training, and be able to lift up to 30 lbs; strong English is required. Project-based hours with some evenings/weekends; health benefits and pension RRSP matching offered.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of industrial or civil construction experience.
• CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance 201 are required.
• Experience using compactors and trampers (jumping jack).
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (13.5 kg) and work in a team.
• Proficient English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow foremen, operators and topmen; direct traffic or equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Handle and distribute construction materials; load/unload vehicles and move items on site.
• Work on municipal sewer/water mains, roads, dams, bridges, tunnels, railways and canals.
• Remove rubble and debris from worksites.
• Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
• Prepare and clean up sites; move materials and equipment; perform demolition/excavation tasks.

A Construction Labourer performs physical site work, supports equiment operators and pipe layers, and helps build infrastructure like roads, bridges, and municipal water, sewer, and storm systems.

Job Description:

• Follow instructions from foremen, operators, and topmen; direct traffic or equipment when needed; and adhere strictly to site safety protocols.
• Handle and distribute construction materials (e.g. load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction materials; move tools, equipment and construction materials to and from work areas).
• Work on a wide variety of buildings, structures and premises including municipal sewer and water mains, roads, dams and bridges, tunnels, railways and canals.
• Remove rubble and other debris.
• Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades at construction sites.
• Prepare and clean up construction sites, move materials and equipment, and perform demolition, excavation and compaction activities.
• Work on a wide variety of buildings, structures and premises including municipal sewer and water mains, roads, dams and bridges, tunnels, railways and canals.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

• 1 to 2 years of industrial or civil construction or equivalent experience required.
• CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, and Ground Disturbance 201 are required.
• You have experience in using compactors, and trampers. (jumping jack)
• You are able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) 9-23 Kg.
• You have a safety conscious attitude and able to work with others in a team.
• A reliable means of transportation is required.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
