Job summary

Golderado is seeking a Journeyman Carpenter to join our team. You will read technical guides, interpret drawings, and apply carpentry techniques on a site-based role with project-dependent hours and overtime during peak season.

The successful candidate has 3–5 years of carpentry experience, a valid Journeyman ticket, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015, and the ability to work safely in all weather conditions. English proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and specs.
  • Cut, assemble and install carpentry components.

  • Maintain safety on site and report hazards.

Key Information:
  • Hours: Project dependent; minimum 40 hours per week, with overtime necessary during the busy season (April-October)
  • Hourly rate is dependent on experience.
  • Health benefits, pension plan, RRSP matching, vacation pay offered.
Job Description:
  • The ability to read and understand technical guides, drawings and specifications is required.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to use carpentry tools safely.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
Experience and Certification Requirements:
  • Journeyman Carpentry ticket required.
  • At least 3-5 years of carpentry or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong math skills for precise measuring and calculations.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
  • Good physical strength and stamina to lift heavy items and stand for long hours.
  • CSTS 2020, and WHMIS 2015 are required.
  • Fall Protection & Rescue, Aerial Platform, Confined Spaces, Rigging/Hoisting and Hand. Signals, and First Aid/CPR certification would be an asset.
  • A reliable means of transportation is required.
  • Proficient English language skills required.

Education: Journeyman Carpentry ticket is required.
