Job summary

Total Group of Companies in Red Deer County is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Mechanic to join our growing team. You will perform fleet maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs on a mixed light-duty fleet of about 50 vehicles, with some trailer work and shop duties.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule and a diverse day with opportunities to move equipment and assist the shop team. Ideal candidates are flexible, safety‑minded and possess a valid Journeyperson certificate.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid Journeyperson certification as Automotive Service Technician.
Experience maintaining, diagnosing and repairing light-duty trucks and SUVs.
Must have a valid driver’s license for operating company vehicles and hauling trailers.
Comfortable performing trailer maintenance and tire swaps.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled fleet maintenance, servicing and vehicle inspections.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and complete repairs within your qualifications.
Identify maintenance needs and communicate repair priorities, required parts and vehicle downtime.
Complete trailer inspections, maintenance and repairs.
Perform seasonal tire swaps and tire maintenance as needed.
Maintain accurate service records and document completed work and deficiencies.
