Job summary

Total Group of Companies Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Mechanic to join our Red Deer County shop. Responsibilities include fleet maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs, as well as trailer maintenance and shop operations.

The ideal candidate will hold a Journeyperson certification and have experience with light-duty trucks and SUVs, including Ford, Dodge/Ram and Chevrolet vehicles. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule and opportunities to support a growing fleet.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Journeyperson certification as an Automotive Service Technician.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Safety-driven approach to vehicle repairs and equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled fleet maintenance and vehicle inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs within qualifications.
• Identify maintenance needs and communicate repair priorities and parts.
• Complete trailer inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Perform seasonal tire swaps and tire maintenance as needed.
• Maintain accurate service records of completed work.
