Job summary

Calfrac-Well-Service in Alberta is hiring a Heavy Duty Mechanic - Journeyperson to join our Maintenance department. You will diagnose and repair well-servicing equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure work is completed safely and on time.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role includes mentoring apprentices, attending safety meetings, and occasional remote field work. A valid Journeyman Red Seal or provincial equivalent is preferred, with 4–5 years of related experience

Qualifications

• Journeyman Heavy Duty, Millwright or Automotive Certification required.
• 4–5 years of related experience.
• Valid class 5 driver's licence or equivalent.
• Satisfactory drivers abstract required.
• Interprovincial Journeyman Red Seal preferred.
• CVIP/DOT inspections would be asset.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment in a safe, timely and effective manner.
• Assist in mentoring apprentices and new employees.
• Ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and on time; verify repairs and documentation.
• Ensure all maintenance inspections are completed.
• Remote field work may be required.
• Attend pre-job meetings and safety meetings when required.
• Participate in equipment modifications, campaigns and recalls.
• Work safely in accordance with all safety policies and PPE requirements.
