Job summary

Fountain Tire St. Albert is seeking a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to join our team. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs and deliver approved service on customer vehicles in a safe, efficient shop environment.

You will test systems to manufacturer specs, conduct routine maintenance, advise customers on repairs, and help maintain equipment while supporting strong customer relationships. A valid license and driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Must be fully licensed in the Automotive Service Technician trade.
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and repair skills.
• Diagnostic specialist with up-to-date technology knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to superior customer experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean annual abstract.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries
