Edmonton Opera is seeking a summer part-time bookkeeper to support the finance department. The role involves processing financial transactions, bank deposits, time sheets, payroll, and assisting with reconciliations.

Responsibilities include preparing documents for regulatory bodies (CRA, GST), performing general office duties, and helping staff understand internal policies. Hours are negotiable and term is summer only.

Competenze

• Experience handling financial transactions and payroll
• Ability to prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Familiarity with regulatory filings (CRA, GST) and compliance requirements

• Assist with and process all financial transactions (invoices, bank deposits, time sheets, payroll, etc.) on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies
• Assist with account and bank reconciliations
• Assist with documents and forms to regulatory bodies (ie: CRA, GST), ensuring accurate and timely submission
• Perform office duties such as photocopying, faxing, and reception
• Assisting staff members in their understanding of internal company policies
• Provide support to other positions when necessary
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor
