Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. in Toronto is seeking an experienced Java/J2EE developer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade applications.

You will lead architecture discussions, drive microservices implementations, and mentor teammates in a fast-paced Agile environment. The role requires strong backend expertise with Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud exposure, plus hands-on experience with Kafka and containerized deployments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with frontend development using React or Angular.
• Hands-on AWS cloud experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and microservices architecture.
• Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and solution implementation.
• Experience with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Agile delivery.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and technical mentoring skills.
