Job description

The Janitorial Worker involves following the direction of the Janitorial Shift Lead / Social Enterprise Manager and performing general cleaning duties at the Communitas provincial office and other locations at the direction of the Employment Manager.

• Grade 12 level education is preferred

• Must be physically able to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to model appropriate behavior concerning conduct, performance, morale, work standards, appearance, professionalism, ethics, and personal integrity
• Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work independently without supervision
• Experience working with janitorial equipment
• Possession of a WHMIS certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Possession of a valid Emergency First Aid Certificate with CPR (must maintain valid certification)
